Painful and difficult as troubles, trials and tribulations may be, they are sure to come to all men; it only makes sense to view them as God intended.
We know for example that the trials of Job had nothing to do with Job as a person but a spiritual battle beyond Jobs knowledge
James 1:2-4 βMy brethren, count it all joy when you fall into diversβ temptations (trials) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.β
The Bible gives many different reasons why hard times come into our life.
1. Through trials we learn many lessons because spiritual knowledge is also learnt by experience and not meant to destroy us. 1Corinthians 10:13
2. Hard sometimes are meant to strengthen us. Luke 22:31-32
3. Other times our trials build our faith when we see what God has done. Psalms 124:1-3
A closer walk with the Lord promises us victory over hard situations
Mathew 6:13 βAnd lead us not into temptationsβ also see verses 25 and 33
Matthew 11:28-30 βCome to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.β
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
