About this Message

God is Omnipotent – all-powerful, therefore cannot be limited by time, place, or person. As his children, we should not limit God. In Romans 4:18-19, Abraham in hope believed and he became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him. Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as deadβ€”since he was about a hundred years oldβ€”and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. That however did not change his hope in God. Israel sinned against God the Holy one & sinned against Him. They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy. (Psalms 78:1-58) We today also limit God in so many ways. 1. Disobedience – Falling to obey the word of God limits our blessing (John 15:7-10). 2. Our Forgetfulness – God has done so many miracles in our lives. Often times we forget hence limiting God’s power in our lives (John 15:11-17). 3. Unbelief – God wants us to believe & trust Him. Failing to do that limits Him (Psalms 78:22). 4. Worldliness - The love of this world and its things is contrary to God’s desire for His children. Sin destroys our relationship with God. Our citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20). 5. Insincerity – We limit God's blessing in us when our hearts are not sincere e.g., Worshiping God with the mouth and not the heart (Psalms 78:36-37). 6. Ingratitude – God is not happy when we forget what He has done for us (Psalms 78:42). 7. Idolatry – We provoke God when we make graven images & worship idols (Psalms 78:58) The truth is that we limit God's blessing upon us by what we do. Consider your life and the things you think are limiting God's power in your life. Because the greatest hindrance to our spiritual growth is ourselves. God is ready to do great things for His people only if we let him.
